Confederations Cup: Super Eagles miss flight, to arrive Brazil hours before Tahiti game

The first batch of Super Eagles, missed their flight to South Africa and now dangerously behind schedule, even with the travel chaos that followed their protest over bonus cut.

They were scheduled to leave in the morning, on a flight from Windhoek to Johannesburg, where they would then take another flight to Sao Paulo by 5.55pm. The team failed to board the flight, which was secured with the help of FIFA and are now fighting to get the next available one.

Although the NFF is still confident that they will secure another one, it is by no means certain. If it doesn’t work out eventually, the first batch will be forced to travel with the second, which means they will arrive Brazil few hours before their first Confederations Cup match against Tahiti on Monday.
