Chelsea boss, Maurizio Sarri has revealed why his side fell 2-0 to Manchester City in the Community Shield on Sunday.
The Italian admitted that Chelsea must improve after their humbling defeat to Pep Guardiola’s men at the Wembley.
Two goals in either sides of the half-time from Sergio Aguero put the game to bed.
The former Napoli boss has only been working with the Blues squad for two weeks but said they must quickly improve ahead of the Premier League opener next weekend.
Metro UK quoted the Italian as saying, “In the first half it was not too bad.
“The second half was a difference from the physical point of view. We have to work pre-season has been a bit crazy so we have to work.
“I do not want to talk only about the defensive phase of the team, not just the defenders. We have to improve in the other half so the defenders can be less busy.”
