Chairman of the Chibok community in Abuja, Tsambido Hosea-Abana has carpeted United States President, Barack Obama for condemning the recent Boko Haram attack on the troubled community.
The community asked Obama to take action as a world leader to save the situation in the Northeast rather than condemning it.
Hosea-Abana expressed disappointment that with all the power Obama possesses, all he did was to condemn Boko Haram’s attempt to takeover Chibok town instead of offering solutions on how to tackle the menace of the terrorists.
The chairman also queried President Obama over the successes of American military advisors sent in April, and wondered what they had achieved after six months of the abduction of the Chibok schoolgirls.
The community leader, however, lambasted the Nigerian government for what he tagged as lack of seriousness in tackling the insurgency and bringing back the remaining 219 Chibok schoolgirls abducted by the Boko Haram sect.
He said it was only divine power that could restore peace in the Northest.
Speaking on the extension of the emergency rule in the three states of the Northest, the chairman urged the federal government to be more serious with emergency rule such that the Boko Haram sect will be flushed out.
