UEFA has confirmed that Mark Clattenburg, will referee the final of the European Championship between France and Portugal on Sunday.
The Englishman, who regularly officiates big games in the Premier League, will become the second man after Pedro Proenca in 2012, to referee both the Champions league final and European Championship final in the same year.
Clattenburg was the man in the middle, when Real Madrid triumphed over city rivals, Atletico, to win their 11th European crown in May.
He also took charge of the FA Cup final between Manchester United and Crystal Palace at Wembley this season.
Simon Beck and Jack Collin will serve as Clattenburg’s assistants at Stade de France, while Anthony Taylor and Andre Marriner have been selected as additional assistants.
