Three people suspected to be motorcycle thieves were on Monday arrested by officials of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Bauchi State.
The state Commander of the NSCDC, Donatus Isuka Ikemefuna while Parading the suspects before pressmen on Monday, said the robbers were apprehended along Nasarawa area in Bauchi metropolis.
While speaking through his Public Relations Officer, Garkuwa Adamu, he noted that items recovered from the suspects include three motorcycles, one of which was owned by an NSCDC official.
Garkuwa Adamu affirmed thus; “One of our staff, Jamilu Mohammed, parked his motorcycle in his house but it was stolen by one Chuche who is at large but we recovered the motorcycle from Usman Mohammed whom Chuche gave it to for keeps. We recovered two motorcycles from Umar Ibrahim. The motorcycles were stolen by Ibrahim Abubakar around Nasarawa area and were handed over to Umar Ibrahim to help him sell.”
The NSCDC spokesman concluded by saying that the command has commenced investigation into the matter and will charge the suspects to court “after we complete investigations.”
