Cisse scores twice to end Chelsea’s unbeaten run

Pappiss Cisse climbed off the bench to grab a brace, as Newcastle defeated Chelsea 2-1 at St James Park in Saturday’s early kick-off.

The home side worked the ball down their left-side and it resulted in Ameobi sending in a low cross with power. Cahill missed the ball and Cisse was on hand to tap in from a few yards out.

Cisse make it 2-0, after Moussa Sissoko stormed into the box and laid off a pass as he tumbled. The Senegalese striker made no mistakes. Didier Drogba powered home a header from Cesc Fabregas’ free-kick, but it was too late as Alan Pardew’s men held on for all three points.

Chelsea remain on top of the Premier League with 36 points, six ahead of Manchester City who play Everton later.
