The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun has enjoined Christians and non-Christians alike to use the Christmas season to reflect on the virtues of love, tolerance, godliness, honesty, fairness, selflessness and peaceful co-existence which Jesus Christ preached while on earth.

In a goodwill message to celebrate Christmas, the National Chairman appealed to all Nigerians to pray specially for peace, unity and development in the country.

He called on Nigerians to shun hatred, divisiveness and promote national unity.

Oyegun, while calling for prayers for the military and other security agents as they continue in their effort to weed off terrorism and violent extremism, urged Nigerians to remember victims and displaced persons in the insurgency-ravaged North-East in their prayers.

He further appealed to religious leaders to pray for the nation and its leaders continuously, stressing that the prevailing situation in the country called for divine intervention.
