Players and officials of Ghana’s national team, were on Tuesday tested for the Ebola virus, before they checked into their hotel base in Lome.

The Black Stars are in Togo, for a 2015 AFCON qualifying match at Stade de Kégué in Lomé on Wednesday. As part of prevention measures by several African governments to prevent spread of the deadly virus, the Ghanaian delegation underwent the tests.

Winger Christian Atsu, who is currently on loan at Everton from Chelsea, posted a picture of the screening process on his Instagram page, reading: “Ebola test at Lome airport#Togo.”

None of the players or officials tested positive, ahead of their crucial game.

Ghana drew 1-1 at home against Uganda in their first match of the series.
