Chelsea and Belgium goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois, has taken a thinly-veiled swipe at his former teammates, John Obi Mikel and Oscar for swapping the club for China.
Mikel moved to the Far East to become the first Nigerian player to earn above100 million pounds a week while Oscar also left Stamford Bridge, signing big money deal with Shanghai SIPG.
But the shot stopper explained why he would never take the same path.
The Belgian goalkeeper told the Mirror, “Some players are more concentrated on what they will do after their football career and want to make sure their lives are financially settled.
“I prefer to play in big teams, earn a little less money and win trophies.”
