Abia Warriors striker, Chisom Chikatara, has called on his team-mates to maintain their unbeaten start to the current Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.

The Umuahia club tavel to Akwa United in a Match Day 10 fixture on Wednesday, on the back of eight matches without losing.

“We will pick an outright victory or a point in the encounter as I do not see Akwa United beat us for the whole three points at stake,” the Super Eagles player told SuperSport.

“Our mission to Uyo is to keep our NPFL unbeaten record intact while we continue to push for the summit.

“The match is not going to be easy for Abia Warriors or Akwa United but we will always find a way to come out of the clash unscathed.

“Our victory at the state FA Cup final on Sunday has further boosted our confidence heading to the clash at Akwa United.

“We will continue with the winning mentality until we get it 100% perfect.”

Warriors are currently eighth with 14 points from a possible 27 with a game in hand.
