Personal Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Social Media, Lauretta Onochie, has replied Senator Shehu Sani’s comments on the ‘missing $500million’ recovered fund being investigated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
The lawmaker representing Kaduna Central in the National Assembly, had in a twitter post on Friday, said the development confirms the presence of experienced thieves in the present administration.
Sani described some officials in Buhari’s administration as post graduate rogues.
He wrote: “The disappearance of $500 million recovered loot now under investigation by the EFCC confirms the presence of seasoned and experienced magicians in Government.
“It also reveals the post graduate level of roguery and larceny in the system.”
But Onochie responded last night. The presidential aide posted a reply right under Sani’s thread.
She recalled that an activist (in veil reference to Sani) collected millions of dollars under the Jonathan government to negotiate the release of Chibok girls abducted by the Boko Haram sect.
“Would the roguery be at par with certain millions of dollars paid by the Jonathan administration to a certain activist who promised to secure the release of the Chibok girls but didn’t and didn’t return the dollars either? Just asking”, she tweeted.
