The United States has condemned the Wednesday’s bomb blast that rocked a market in Chibok town of Borno State.

DAILY POST recalls that two female suicide bombers detonated improvised explosives in a market at Chibok town yesterday where 27 lives were lost.

The suicide bombers disguised as women, backing babies and targeting the Commanding officer in charge of Chibok and surrounding areas.

However, before they could reach the Commanding Officer, they detonated the explosives.

In a terse statement issued by the embassy in Abuja, ‎the US reiterated its support for Nigeria in the fight against terrorism.

The statement reads, “The U.S. Embassy condemns the multiple suicide attacks against the Chibok community on January 27.

“The United States remains committed to supporting Nigeria’s fight against these senseless acts of terror.

“We extend our deepest condolences to the families of the victims,” the statement added.
