Manchester United boss, Jose Mourinho, has revealed what he told his players that led to their come back against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Mourinho said he was only thinking about victory even when they were trailing Chelsea by one goal at half-time during the Premier League clash.

Antonio Rudiger’s 21st minute header powered Chelsea into the lead, but Mourinho’s side fought back after the break and were just seconds away from recording a rare win at Stamford Bridge, after Anthony Martial scored two goals.

However, Ross Barkley’s dramatic injury time equaliser preserved Chelsea’s unbeaten start to the season..

Mourinho told Sky Sports, “My message [at half time] was that against Newcastle that we needed a huge improvement to get back into the game but today we don’t need huge improvement we just needed little details.

“We were in the game playing well and in control we just needed to be a little bit more aggressive in the last third, a bit more brave with the players feeling more freedom to express themselves to go in search of the goals.

“I told the players at half time I was thinking about winning this game in the second half. The boys were brilliant but in this moment we are frustrated.”
