Arsene Wenger has revealed that Olivier Giroud, Danny Welbeck and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain should be available for Saturday’s crunch Premier League battle with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Frenchman, Olivier Giroud was substituted early in their 2-1 home loss against Watford with a knock and Oxlade-Chamberlain sustained a slight injury, while Welbeck was rested for the midweek game.
Wenger, while giving an update of the team on Friday’s pre-match press conference, where he disclosed that Ramsey will be out for 21 days, added that there are capable replacements for the Welsh midfielder.
The French gaffer said, “We lose Ramsey and Giroud has a test, he should be alright.
“Maybe Welbeck will come back into the group.
“Chamberlain has a test today but I think he will be alright.”
When asked how long Ramsey will be out, he added, “I would say 21 days.
“We have good players in there; Adelaide, Maitland-Niles, Chamberlain can play in there.”
Wenger further suggested that the Gunners’ 3-0 home win against Chelsea early in the season could have played a huge part in their recent fine run, adding that French midfielder, N’golo Kante, has made a huge impact.
He said, “Maybe for them it was a little bit of a wake-up call. Conte managed to change things. “I believe Kante has had a huge impact.
“It’s no coincidence Chelsea are where they are and Leicester did what they did last season.”
