Chelsea defender, Gary Cahill is reportedly ready to quit the club as he considers his future at Stamford Bridge.
The 32-year-old, who has just 12 months remaining in his deal, struggled for regular starts last season under former manager Antonio Conte, who has now left the club.
The England international has enjoyed a successful six years with the Blues, winning two Premier League and one Champions League during his 282 appearances in all competitions for the club.
Evening Standard UK reports that Cahill will hold talks with new head coach, Maurizio Sarri when he returns from holiday and may decide to leave the West London club should he not be given assurances over his playing time.
The report also claimed that Chelsea over the years, don’t consider lengthy contract extensions for any player over the age of 30.
However, Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen and David Luiz are also options in the centre of defence should Cahill eventually leave Stamford Bridge.
