Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich, is still waiting for UK authorities to renew his visa which expired last month.
Abramovich returned to Russia after his visa ran out and was not at Wembley to watch his team defeat Manchester United in the FA Cup final.
A source close to Chelsea told ESPN FC that, while the visa process is taking longer than usual, Abramovich has not had an application for renewal rejected.
It is also being reported he has yet to be offered an explanation, as to why UK authorities are taking longer than usual to process the application.
Abramovich’s visa situation comes at a time of heightened tensions between the UK government and Russia.
