Chelsea owner, Roma Abramovic is currently in Italy to finalize double deal on two Juventus star players, defender Daniele Rugani and striker Gonzalo Higuain.
Italian newspaper, Calciomercato quoted Italian journalist, Alfredo Pedulla as saying that Abramovic is in Milan to have a meeting with Juventus in order to finalize the deal to bring Rugani and Higuain to Stamford Bridge.
Rugani has been linked with a move away from Turin since Juve defenders, Giorgio Chiellini and Andrea Barzagli signed contract extensions with the Old Lady, to extend their stay at the club.
However, reports suggest that Chelsea will first try and offload striker, Alvaro Morata to AC Milan, perhaps before being able to conclude a deal for Higuain.
Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri is getting closer to bringing in his desired Serie A transfer targets to the Blues after replacing Antonio Conte earlier this week.
However, under Sarri’s guidance at Napoli, Higuain broke Serie A’s scoring record in a single season with 36 goals in the 2015-16 campaign.
Sarri was angered by Higuain’s decision to join Juventus after his record-breaking season, but admitted he treated the Argentine international like his own son.
“He made a debatable choice, but that doesn’t mean he’s not a good man,” Sarri told reporters after Higuain’s departure.
“Despite it all, I still feel about him the way I do feel about a son who has made you angry, but you still care for him. I owe him a great deal.”
