Chelsea defeated a valiant Stoke City side 4-2 on New Year Eve, to match Arsenal’s 13-game winning run within a Premier League season.
Gary Cahill gave the Blues the lead with a powerful header, before Bruno Martins Indi levelled just after the restart. Willian restored Antonio Conte’s men lead, but Peter Crouch drew Stoke level again.
From that point on, it was Chelsea all the way.
Willian grabbed his second of the day after a rapid counter-attack, before Diego Costa smashed in the last goal of the match late on.
Chelsea travel to Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday, hoping to extend their winning streak to 14 games and creating a new record.
