Chelsea have told defender, Todd Kane, that he can leave the Stamford Bridge club on a free transfer this summer.
According to Football Insider, Kane, who is having one year remaining in his current deal, can leave the Blues for nothing to go in search of regular first-team football.
The report claimed that Chelsea will ask for a sell-on clause to be inserted into any deal for the right-back, which will see them benefit from any future transfers.
It also claimed that Kane will be hopeful of securing a move with a number of Football League clubs said to be interested in the 24-year-old.
Kane was almost making first-team squad at the West London club just a few years back before injuries saw his career tail off.
He has previously spent time on loan at Nottingham Forest and Bristol City, NEC Nijmegen and FC Groningen.
