Maverick entertainer and activist, Charles Oputa, also known as Charlyboy, has cleared the air on his perceived scheming for a political appointment from the governor-elect of Imo state, Hon. Emeka Ihedioha.
Recall that the embattled convener of OurMumuDonDo movement sometime in April relocated from Abuja to his Imo home state.
Charlyboy, in an interview with DAILY POST on Wednesday explained his support for the incoming Ihedioha’s administration, stating that he would only work with the governor-elect if he has good plans and policies for Imolites and the youths.
He, however, added that he would not accept any political appointment from the Imo government or work under Ihedioha’s cabinet as he is bigger than that.
When asked if he would work with Ihedioha, Charlyboy said; “No, I’m not that kind of person that you can confine to one space or one spot. No! the only way I’d like to work with him is as long as he is doing well and has good plans for Imolites.
“All I will do is to help him propagate his manifesto and other things that kick to my soul that he is about; like if he wants to encourage more youths in Imo state, if he wants to create more jobs then he can say he has a partner in me, not for me to go and work.
“I’m too old for an appointment. Which positions him wan give, even governor sef I no wan do and person no dey carry person wey pass am put for ship na. No o!”
