CHAN 2016: Oliseh knows Tunisia will be tougher than Niger – Green

Nigeria Football Federation’s Technical Committee Chairman, Chris Green, has said that Sunday Oliseh is preparing harder for the Tunisia game, as he is aware they are a stronger team than Niger.

The home-based Super Eagles defeated Mena 4-1 on Monday in their opening match of the Championship for African Nations (CHAN) in Kigali, Rwanda.

Their next match will be against Tunisia on Friday and three points will all but guarantee them a place in the next round.

However, Green says it will not be an easy encounter and the coach knows that.

“Oliseh is very much aware of it and is preparing hard for the game.

“No two matches are the same. It depends on how we approach the game. I know the Tunisians will prepare well for us especially coming out with one point from their last match. We too must be on top of our game, to get a result for a possible qualification to the next stage.

“The team will be in full flight because they would have gone through the nervousness of playing their first game. Oliseh too has shown that he’s tactically sound and a good match manager. The players are confident and are in high spirits. We pray for good luck, health and form. I’m proud of the team and Oliseh, and I maintain that we should be patient and give him time to build a solid team and instill his philosophy. It was a great win for him and Nigerians,” he said.
