Head coach of the Super Eagles, Sunday Oliseh, has said that it is important for his team to start the 2016 African Nations Championship on a winning note.
Nigeria will take on Niger Republic in their opening match on Monday at the Kigali Regional Stadium.
Oliseh made it clear that he is not ready to accept anything less than three points and has charged his players not to take the game likely.
“We are ready for our game against Niger,” Oliseh said in his pre-match press conference on Sunday ahead of the game.
“As you can see every player in my team is match fit and ready to give their very best in this tournament.
“We have put in adequate preparations and we have been very lucky with injuries too.
“Let Nigerians continue to support Super Eagles and we will deliver by the special grace of God.”
