Nigeria may be without Chisom Chikatara, when they take on Guinea in their crucial final Group C match at the African Nations Championship on Tuesday.
Head coach, Sunday Oliseh, confirmed that the tournament’s leading scorer is carrying a minor knock and will be assessed alongside midfielder, Mohammed Usman.
“We took Usman out in the game against Tunisia because he was feeling some pains in his groin,” Oliseh told media. “Chikatara is almost in the same stage and we will decide how we are going to use them in the game and that is if we are going to use them at all, if they can’t play in the game, then we will play without them.”
The Super Eagles need at least a point to confirm qualification for the quarter-final, following their 4-1 win over Niger and 1-1 draw with Tunisia.
A win will, however, secure top spot, irrespective of the outcome between Tunisia and Niger.
