Napoli manager, Carlo Ancelotti has explained why his side defeated Liverpool 1-0 in the Champions League fixture played on Wednesday night.
Late goal from forward, Lorenzo Insigne ensured victory for Ancelotti’s men.
Ancelotti believes his side won against Jurgen Klopp’s men because his players ‘defended very well’ against the Reds.
“We were very good defensively, we didn’t give anything away,” Ancelotti was quoted by The Mirror as saying after the match.
“We had the chances to score earlier, but I think we timed the goal well. If we had scored a few minutes earlier, we would have had more time suffering.”
Napoli will take on Sassuolo in the Serie A this weekend.
