Champions League: Zidane reveals why Real Madrid beat Juve 3-0, speaks on Ronaldo’s goal

Real Madrid boss, Zinedine Zidane has spoken on his side’s 3-0 away victory to Juventus in the Champions League quarter final on Tuesday.

The Frenchman also reacted to Cristiano Ronaldo’s exceptional overhead kick stunner.

The Portugal captain scored a remarkable overhead kick as Real saw off Juve in the first leg of their quarter-final clash in Turin.

And Zidane was full of praise for Ronaldo who made yet more history with his double on the night.

He told postmatch conference, “It’s not easy to put three goals past Juve on their own field.

“We put in a great performance, but Juve also did very well, put us under pressure and had the chances to score goals, but we were more clinical.

“Of course Juventus aren’t happy with the result tonight, but I will always have Juve in my heart.

“Cristiano Ronaldo is different.

“He’s a different player to everyone else and he always has this desire to do something extraordinary in the Champions League, he never rests on his laurels.

“His overhead kick was remarkable, yet he missed two much easier chances. That’s football.”

Asked if Ronaldo’s goal was better than his in the Champions League final, Zidane was quick to give his response.

He exclaimed, “Oh mine! Definitely mine.”
