Tottenham coach, Mauricio Pochettino, has explained why his side lost 2-1 to Inter Milan in Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League encounter at the San Siro Stadium.
Goals from Mauro Icardi and Matias Vecino ensured victory for the Italian side.
Christian Eriksen lone goal was not enough to get a point for Spurs.
Pochettino, however, said his side lost to Inter because his players were not in control of the game towards the end of the match.
He added that his players could not also convert their chances in front of goal.
“Until 86, 87 minutes, the game was under control. The problem is; we didn’t kill the game,” Pochettino was quoted by Football London as saying at post-match press conference.
“We created big chances but we didn’t take them. Look at Saturday it was the same, we conceded twice and scored and then the penalty, which should have been for Son.”
