Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, was given a round of applause when he entered Sevilla’s dressing room, following their 2-1 win at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.
Mourinho asked for permission to enter Sevilla’s dressing room, before congratulating the players on their brilliant performance and wishing them good luck for the rest of the Champions League.
According to the BBC, the gesture went down well with the LaLiga side, who clapped for the Portuguese.
United, who drew 0-0 with Sevilla in the first leg in Spain, were the favourites to beat the Spanish side at Old Trafford and progress to the quarter-finals.
But second-half substitute Wissam Ben Yedder netted twice to send Sevilla through, with Romelu Lukaku grabbing the consolation goal.
Mourinho’s men now have only the FA Cup to play for this campaign.
