Champions League: Tottenham hand Real Madrid shocking 3-1 defeat

Tottenham on Wednesday defeated reigning European Champions, Real Madrid to qualify for the Champions League knock out stage.

Dele Alli scored twice in the 3-1 demolition of Real Madrid.

Spurs qualified for the knockout stages in the most dramatic style, with two goals from Alli and one from Christian Eriksen ensuring a memorable night at Wembley.

Cristiano Ronaldo pulled a late consolation in the 80th minute.

With the victory, Tottenham move top of Group H on 10 points, three ahead of their Spanish opponents with two games remaining.

Its Real’s second defeat in less than 4 days after losing to Girona in La Liga on Sunday and this was the first time they had been beaten in a Champions League group match in 31 attempts.
