Liverpool legend, Steven Gerrard has reacted to the club’s qualification for this season’s Champions League final.
Gerrard lavished praise on his former side after they booked a place against Real Madrid in Kiev on Wednesday.
Liverpool were beaten 4-2 by Roma in a tense semi-final second-leg clash in Rome.
But last week’s 5-2 first-leg win means they progressed to the final 7-6 on aggregate.
Jurgen Klopp’s side will face 12-time winners Real Madrid in Kiev on May 26.
Gerard told BT Sport. “Incredible achievement. Congratulations to Jurgen Klopp and the players.
“They’re the ones that have taken the fans on this journey and they deserve all the credit and the plaudits they get in the coming days.
“They’ve set themselves up for a mouth-watering final against a giant in Real Madrid.
“But they should go into it with confidence and belief they can go all the way.
“That man there (Klopp) and the players deserve so much praise.”
