Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba, has been dropped to the bench by manager Jose Mourinho, for Wednesday night’s Champions League round of 16 tie at Sevilla.
Pogba missed out of United’s 2-0 win over Huddersfield in the FA Cup last weekend because of illness, but returned to training 24 hours after.
He was expected to go straight back into Mourinho’s starting line-up for tonight’s game, but will start among the substitutes at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
United sources have indicated Mourinho is ready to go with a midfield three of Nemanja Matic, Ander Herrera and Scott McTominay against Sevilla.
Pogba’s expected omission from the starting line-up will cast further doubt on his Old Trafford future.
