Real Madrid captain, Sergio Ramos has revealed why his club beat Bayern Munich at home in the Champions League second leg semi-final tie on Tuesday night.
According to Ramos, the Los Blancos’s DNA made them to qualify for the finals of the competition despite a hugely unconvincing performance against the Bundesliga champions.
Bayern travelled to Spanish capital trailing 2-1 from the first leg at home.
Joshua Kimmich put them in front at the Santiago Bernabeu, before Karim Benzema scored a brace. James Rodriguez’s equalizer was not enough to take Bayern through to the finals of the competition.

A 2-2 draw in the second leg meant Jupp Heynckes’s men were one goal shy of reaching the final as Madrid went through 4-3 on aggregate.
“When you have a favourable result, subconsciously you sit back,” Ramos told reporters after the match.
“They have had more possession than us, we have suffered but, in general, the team is worthy of being in Kiev.
“The Real DNA leads you to push until the end, we are going to have a very complicated opponent in the final. People keep talking, we like to do that on the field.
“I am proud of this team. They are a great team and have been demonstrating that for many years, when you play with a result in your favour, sometimes that happens.”
Madrid will now face the winner between Liverpool and Roma in the finals on May 26.
