Champions League: Salah limps out with groin injury

Liverpool have suffered a huge injury blow, after Mohammed Salah limped out of their Champions League quarter-final first leg against Manchester City on Wednesday night.

Salah played only six minutes of the second half, before receiving treatment on the sideline.

The Egyptian winger could not continue and disappeared down the tunnel with a groin problem.

Salah had opened the scoring in the first half, as the Reds ran riot against Pep Guardiola’s side.

The goal was Salah’s 38th of an incredible debut campaign on Merseyside in just 42 games.

He is likely to be unavailable for Saturday’s Merseyside derby and the second leg at the Etihad next week.
