Champions League: Ronaldo makes history in Juventus’ 1-0 win over Valencia

Juventus forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, on Tuesday night made history in his side’s 1-0 victory over Valencia in the Champions League encounter.

The 33-year-old showed off his skills to set up fellow teammate, Mario Mandžukić, who scored the only goal of the match to ensure Max Allegri’s men defeated the La Liga side.

According to Juventus, Ronaldo became the first ever player to win 100 Champions League matches in the history of the Europe topflight league competition following his side’s victory.

The Serie A champions took to their official Twitter page, @juventusfcen, to make the announcement.

“@Cristiano becomes the first ever player to reach 100 @ChampionsLeague wins #CR7JUVE #UCL #JuveVCF,” Juventus tweeted.

Ronaldo won 26 Champions League games during his time at Manchester United.

He also won 71 Champions League games when he was playing for Real Madrid and three with Juventus to make it 100 wins.

The Portuguese captain will hope to lead Juve to victory when they tackle Fiorentina this weekend in the Serie A fixture.
