Juventus forward, Cristiano Ronaldo on Tuesday night equaled Barcelona captain, Lionel Messi’s hat-tricks record in his side’s Champions League 3-0 victory over Atletico Madrid in Turin.
Ronaldo netted a stunning hat-trick, as Juventus defeated Atletico Madrid 3-0 and qualified for the quarter-final of the Champions League.
According to Metro UK, Ronaldo’s three goals against Atletico Madrid, means the former Real Madrid star equal Messi’s record of eight hat-tricks in the Champions League.
Juventus came into the tie trailing 2-0 to Atletico Madrid from the first leg at the Wanda Metropolitano.
Ronaldo opened scoring with a header in the first half, to calm the nerves of the home team.
The Portuguese captain made it 2-0 in the second half, before drilling home a penalty late in the game, to seal their passage into the Champions League next round.
