Champions League: Manchester United make history in 3-1 win over PSG

Manchester United have made Champions League history after their 3-3 aggregate win against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men, who trailed PSG with 2-0 in the Champions League round of 16 first-leg at Old Trafford, defeated the Ligue 1 champions 3-1 on Wednesday night in France in the second-leg encounter.

Two goals from Romelu Lukaku and a strike from Marcus Rashford ensured Manchester United dumped PSG out of the Champions League.

However, Juan Bernat Velasco did score for PSG at the Parc des Princes Stadium.

According to Manchester United, the result against PSG means, the Red Devils became the first team in the Champions League history to overturn a 2-0 home defeat from the first leg of a knockout round.

“United became the first team in Champions League history to overturn a 2-0 home defeat from the first leg of a knockout round,” Man United wrote on the club’s official Twitter page on Thursday.

Man United will tackle Arsenal on Sunday in the Premier League fixture at Emirates Stadium.
