Manchester City exacted revenge on Barcelona on Tuesday night, after they came from behind to defeat the La Liga champions 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium.

City were humiliated 4-0 in the reverse fixture and looked to be heading for another loss, when Neymar found Lionel Messi inside the box and the Argentina captain finished sweetly.

However, Ilkay Gundogan made it 1-1 before the break. Kevin De Bruyne put Pep Guardiola’s men in front with a supremely struck free-kick after the restart and Gundogan added his second of the night.

Arsenal overcame a two-goal deficit to beat Ludogorets 3-2 in Bulgaria, with Mesut Ozil scoring a brilliant winner. The Gunners have 10 points and have qualified for the knockout stages.

In the other matches played, Paris Saint-Germain defeated Basel 2-0, Napoli drew 1-1 with Besiktas, Benfica saw off Dynamo Kyiv 1-0 and PSV lost 2-1 to Bayern Munich.

Celtic held Borussia Mochengladbach to a 1-1 draw and Atletico Madrid qualified for the next round, with a last-gasp 2-1 victory over Rostov.
