Kylian Mbappe’s goal and another from appeared to set Monaco on their way to a 3-2 victory after the hour-mark, but goals from Sergio Aguero – his second of the night – John Stones and Leroy Sane turned the game on its head.

In the other game of the night, Atletico Madrid claimed a 4-2 win over Bayer Leverkusen in Germany.
