Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard has singled out Lille striker, Victor Osimhen for praise after his impressive performance against the Blues in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.
Lampard hailed Osimhen for his outstanding display against Chelsea, adding that the Super Eagles star has a fantastic career ahead of him.
Lampard’s men defeated Lille 2-1 in the Champions League last night, thanks to goals from Tammy Abraham and Willian.
However, Victor Osimhen did score for the host at the Stade Pierre Mauroy.
“He (Osimhen) was hugely impressive. Tonight was going to be a tough match for our defenders. His performance individually was really good,” Lampard told reporters after the match.
“He (Osimhen) has everything in his game and it was tough to play against him. I wish him well. He looks like he has a fantastic career ahead of him.”
Chelsea’s next Champions League is against Ajax Amsterdam.
