Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard, singled out Fikayo Tomori, after securing his first Champions League win at Lille.

The Blues were beaten by Valencia in their opening Champions League group game, but responded well to beat the Ligue 1 side on Wednesday evening.

Tammy Abraham gave the Premier League side the lead, but Lille levelled before half-time through Victor Osimhen.

Willian settled the affair with a 77th-minute volley.

Lampard told BT Sport afterwards: “Fikayo was outstanding again. He has to keep on with that.

“It feels really good. This was a really hard place to come, added to the pressure of not beating Valencia.

“And it was the first time for a few travelling in Europe. Now Ajax have set their stall out in the group. This gives us confidence and points. Now the hard work begins.”
