Manchester United legend, Roy Keane, has blamed Trent Alexander-Arnold and goalkeeper, Loris Karius for Liverpool defeat to Roma in the Champions League semifinal on Wednesday night.
He said Real Madrid could exploit the two players to hand Liverpool a big blow in the final in Kiev.
According to Keane, both players had a “nightmare” in the 4-2 loss.
The Reds reached the final with a remarkable 7-6 aggregate victory over Roma following a dramatic 4-2 defeat at the Stadio Olimpico.
19-year-old Alexander-Arnold struggled on Wednesday night and was lucky not to concede a penalty after handling the ball in the area in the second-half.
Karius also had a disappointing game in Rome and Keane believes Madrid can exploit the duo in the final on May 26.
Asked if both Madrid and Liverpool will attack in the final, Keane told ITV Sport, “I think that is exactly what is going to happen.
“Obviously it’s slightly different in the final – over the two legs there’s maybe different mentalities. We could look at Real Madrid and pick holes in them which we have done.
“But they will be doing exactly the same as Liverpool. If you look at Liverpool tonight, the young right-back had a nightmare and the goalkeeper was poor.
“Real Madrid will be rubbing their hands as much as Liverpool will be – that’s why it’s such an intriguing game.”
Keane admitted that Liverpool deserve to be in the final and praised the attitude of Jurgen Klopp’s players.
He said, “They’ve been fantastic. I don’t think we would have predicted at the start of the season that they would be in the Champions League final but they’ve just grown in strength.
“I think they are great to watch, score plenty of goals, their team reflects the manager’s personality – full of energy and enthusiasm.
“They have recruited really well. Nobody would have predicted how well [Mohamed] Salah would have done. ‘They deserve to be in the final and I’m sure they will fancy their chances.”
