There was also concerns about midfielder Miralem Pjanic’s fitness, but Allegri now has his influential forward, Mandzukic to call upon.

“We might go with (Juan) Cuadrado, (Paulo) Dybala and (Cristiano) Ronaldo tomorrow, but I still have to make a decision on that,” Metro UK quoted Allegri as saying.

“We’ll need to play better than we did in Manchester because United are always a threat. We must be completely focused as there’s a lot on the line.”

Allegri did confirm that Costa would miss out of the clash, but Federico Bernardeschi, Emre Can, and Moise Kea are also injured.
