Juventus manager, Massimiliano Allegri, has hailed Cristiano Ronaldo after the forward’s spectacular display in their 3-0 victory over Atletico Madrid in the Champions League round of 16 second-leg encounter on Tuesday night.
Ronaldo netted a stunning hat-trick, as Juventus defeated Atletico Madrid 3-0 and qualified for the quarter-final of the Champions League.
Allegri believes Ronaldo did very well against Diego Simeone’s men in the box, adding that it was impossible to think that the former Real Madrid star had just a goal in the Champions League this campaign before their victory over Atletico.
“It’s impossible to think Cristiano would only score one goal in this Champions League,” Allegri was quoted by Goal as telling reporters at a post-match press conference.
“He scored because he played well in the box and his team-mates worked well in the game-play.
“A great match with an outstanding crowd supporting us and the players gave all Italian football fans a real show. That’s the most important thing.”
