Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has lauded forward, Raheem Sterling, after the England international scored a hat-trick in his side’s UEFA Champions League 5-1 victory over Atalanta on Tuesday.
Sterling scored three goals in eleven minutes after Sergio Aguero had earlier netted a brace to cancel out Ruslan Malinovskyi’s penalty opener at Etihad.
“All the credit is for Raheem Sterling,” Guardiola was quoted by FourFourTwo as telling reporters after the match.
“He’s a guy whose physicality is incredible. He is so strong.
“A day after a game, he could play another. His regeneration is incredible and he can play both sides. He is an extraordinary player.”
Guardiola’s men are now five points clear at the top of Group C after defeating Atalanta.
