Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has singled out midfielder, Phil Foden for praise following his side’s 2-1 victory over Hoffenheim on Wednesday in the Champions League.
Two goals from forward, Leroy Sane gave Guardiola’s men all three points at the Etihad.
However, Andrej Kramaric did score for the visitors.
Guardiola has now noted that Foden played very well against Hoffenheim, adding that the 18-year-old can do everything in terms of mentality.
“Incredible, incredible,” Guardiola said of Foden’s performance on BT Sport. “We don’t have any doubts about his quality. He’s very difficult to play against.
“He can do everything – in terms of mentality, he can score goals, he’s a fighter, he’s intelligent, his body shape, his control.”
Guardiola added: “The squad is good and Foden has to compete with David Silva, with Kevin (De Bruyne), with Gundogan, but he’s an amazing player.
“He’s just 18 years old, so to be playing Champions League in a really important game with a lot of absentees…we didn’t have any doubts about him that he’s completely ready to play at the top level.”
