Champions League final: Zidane reveals hardest part of Champions League final

Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, has admitted that leaving players out, will be the hardest part of his job for the Champions League final.

Gareth Bale is sweating on his place, as Zidane must drop one player between the Welshman, Isco and Karim Benzema from his starting XI.

“Yes, of course (it’s the hardest part). I’ve said this repeatedly, I think this is the worst moment for a coach, when you have to make the choice, especially for a final, because some players will put their jersey on and others won’t.

“That’s the most difficult job for a manager, but I have to take that responsibility on and make that choice for the team,” Zidane said on Friday.

Real can become the first team to win the trophy three times in a row, since the competition’s revamped new format.

Zidane added: “Well, if you look at it that way, all I can say is that this is beautiful. That’s what I do, this is my passion and behind all of that is a lot of hard work not just on my part but on the part of my players.

“If you like what you do and like to compete and for me that’s completely normal and we have to live in our lives in a normal way.

“This moment, we are not going to live it again, it will be in the past and will never be repeated. We are pure emotion and if I’m under pressure then so much the better.”
