Milorad Mazic has been confirmed as the referee for this year’s Champions League final.
The Serbian official has been selected to take charge of Liverpool’s clash with Real Madrid on May 26, the biggest game of the season for the two respective clubs.
Mazic has history with the Reds, having taken charge of their 1-1 draw with bitter rivals Manchester United in the Europa League two years ago.
In the match played at Old Trafford, Mazic awarded the Red Devils a penalty after Nathaniel Clyne brought down Anthony Marital in the box.
Martial put United ahead from the spot, before Philippe Coutinho equalized before half time.
The Reds won the tie 3-1 on aggregate to progress to the next stage.
Mazic also took charge of Liverpool’s 1-0 Europa League win over Sparta Prague back in 2011.
