Real Madrid has become the first team to successfully defend the Champions League in the modern era, after they beat Juventus 4-1 in Cardiff on Saturday night.
The Serie A champions started the game brightly, but Cristiano Ronaldo opened scoring for Madrid tucking away a cutback from Dani Carvajal. Mario Mandzukic levelled the game before the interval, with a stunning lob over Keylor Navas.
However, from then on, the La Liga champions took complete control of the match.
Casemiro unleashed a thunderbolt from distance to restore Zinedine Zidane’s men lead, before Ronaldo grabbed his brace.
There was still enough time for Asensio to climb off the bench and get a fourth.
Madrid have now completed the double, after winning the title a few weeks ago.
