Champions League final: Barcelona react to Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Tottenham

Barcelona have reacted to Liverpool’s Champions League final 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday night at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid.

Goals from Mohamed Salah and Divock Origi ensured Jurgen Klopp’s side won the Champions League ahead of Tottenham.

Barcelona took to their official Twitter page after the match to congratulate the Reds for their victory over Spurs.

The La Liga champions were thrashed by Liverpool in the Champions League semi-final encounter last month.

Lionel Messi inspired Barca to a 3-0 win in the first leg but the return fixture at Anfield saw one of the greatest comebacks in history.

Liverpool secured a 4-0 win thanks to two goals each from Divock Origi and Georginio Wijnaldum to progress to the Champions League final.

“Congratulations, @LFC, on winning another @ChampionsLeague title,” a tweet from the club’s official Twitter page read.

Speaking after the game, Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp told BT Sport: “I am so happy for the boys all these people, and my family. They suffer for me, they deserve it more than anybody.

“Did you ever see a team like, this, fighting with no fuel in the tank? And we have a keeper who makes difficult things look easy.

“It is the best night of our professional lives.”
