La Liga champions, Barcelona have wished Liverpool ace, Mohamed Salah, a speedy recovery after the Egyptian international suffered a head injury during the Reds’ 3-2 win over Newcastle United in the Premier League on Saturday.
Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp confirmed on Monday at his pre-match press conference that Salah and Roberto Firmino will both miss the club’s Champions League semi-final second leg tie against Barcelona at Anfield on Tuesday night.
“Both Mo and Roberto are not available,” Klopp had said.
Reacting to Salah’s injury, Barcelona, in a tweet on Monday, said: “Games like these are for world-class players. Get well soon!”
Liverpool trail 3-0 from the first leg of the semi-final at the Nou Camp.
Their slim hope of progressing to the final have now been further damaged by the latest updates on the key attacking duo (Salah and Firmino).
