In landed properties, the witness said “The Senate President is worth between N2billion to N3bn.”
Wetkas also affirmed to the fact that Saraki had $22m dollars, £2.6m, N4bn and €12 in various accounts before he became governor.
The witness told the tribunal that the assets declaration form tendered before the tribunal was the one from the bureau not the one from the commission.
“During investigation in the commission there is no way you will investigate financial crimes that assets will not be involved. We also ask the Code of Conduct Bureau, CCB, to furnish us with their own.
“We asked for copies of Saraki’s assets declaration from the bureau to enable us compare and we confirmed that it was one the same information with our own.
“Normally during investigation, we ask the person under investigation to fill an asset declaration form.
Answering question from Saraki’s lawyer, Paul Orokoro, Wetkas said the original of the form was with the CCB.
“I have seen the original but only work with the copy we are furnished by the CCB.”
Paul further asked whether he saw another original of exhibit one and Wetkas responded,”To my knowledge, every document has one original.”
